So, Samsung took down the Smart IPTV (SIPTV) app from their App Store. Bummer, right?
Don’t worry, though — you can still manually install it on your TV.
I’ll walk you through it step by step, depending on your TV model.
Boom. The SIPTV app should be visible under My Apps — ready to use.
If you have a Non-Tizen TV (E/ES/F/H/HU/J4/J52 series), do the following instead:
The SIPTV app should appear under Samsung Apps.
P+/P- and Arrow Keys: Browse pages, groups, and channels.
UP / Double UP: See what’s currently playing.
DOWN: See your recent channels.
OK / SELECT / CH LIST: Display the channel list while playing.
INFO / Double INFO: See additional info on the program being played.
Number Keys: Jump straight to a channel by typing its number. Press “0” or PR CH for your channel history.
RETURN: Close the info bar or go back to the main list.
EXIT: Quit the app.
P.SIZE, TOOLS, EXTRA: Change the video’s look on your screen.
PLAY/PAUSE/STOP: Play, pause, or stop the stream. (Also closes the video player.)
Long Press PLAY: Turn the info bar on or off — for good.
PLAY_PAUSE Button: Play/pause or change to channel Groups instantly.
TTX/MIX: Turn on/off 3D mode (Side-by-Side).
AD/SUBT: Change between subtitle tracks if present.
REC: Switch DVB input on and off.
RED Button: Open the settings menu or choose an alternative audio track.
GREEN Button / GUIDE: Display the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
YELLOW Button: Display all available channels or show a digital clock.
BLUE Button: Open Groups and settings while viewing.
Installing SIPTV by hand keeps you connected to one of the most well-liked IPTV applications around.
A word of warning: always download the files from trusted sources and ensure you’re looking at the right instructions for your television model.
